An experimental label Red by ex-Sommelier & now winemaker Carsten Migliarina, made in a lighter, more elegant style with fresh acidity, lower alcohol, but still retaining a classic spice & fruit purity.
Instead of being bold & boisterous like other New World Shiraz expressions, this leans more to a subtle French style. Perky, almost tangy in some instances, but soft & supple, hinting at a touch of smoky, meatiness but retaining a lovely plum fruit character throughout.
Drinking Style & Food Pairing:
- A degree of bottle age alongside the fresher wine-making style lend a perfect hand to pairing with classic Mediterranean cuisine.
- This wine also lends itself to showcasing a new dynamic when left to chill down before serving & due to the lower alcohol is a perfect accompaniment to lunchtime entertainment.
