Only 1,000 bottles of this Red were produced from a single-vineyard site of unirrigated, 18 year old bush vines grown on deep Koffieklip soils in the Swartland Region.
Taken from a tête-de-cuvée selection of 3rd, 4th and 5th-fill French oak barrels from four different Burgundy coopers it has produced a lighter in style wine; showcasing fruit and elegance as opposed to overt oaky characters. Wild and brambly, balancing spice with juicy aromatics.
Drinking Style & Food Pairing:
- Lighter styled dishes and tapas are best suited, however it’s able to stand up to a good roast, but please ensure that at least two bottles are on hand at every occasion, as this wine is incredibly moreish.
- On a hotter day, allow to chill in the fridge for an hour or so, and as you work your way through the bottle, experience the palate and aromatic profile open up as the wine warms to room temperature.
