A classic but truly garagiste style of Chenin Blanc that was hand harvested, basket pressed and naturally fermented. Minimal intervention throughout until this White was bottled, but not before we hand waxed, labelled & numbered* them.
Only 300 bottles of this wine were made, coming from a single third-fill french oak barrel, exclusively for Lavine & Mackenzie. Classic flavours and aromatics of juicy ripe apples with an intense combination of both freshness and richness.
A truly show-stopping wine, and always ready to please.
Drinking Style & Food Pairing:
- Solid Indian curry or a spicy, aromatic Thai curry plays well with the succulent aspects of this wine
- Alternatively, try with a richer, creamier, Hollandaise or Béarnaise accompanied dishes
- A large bowl of salted, roasted Cashews … at about 5 o’clock … on a Tuesday
* The main picture here shows the cellar-note label as we are furiously waxing and labelling the rest.
** Due to the very hands-off, minimalist intervention style this wine was made in, a harmless sediment of crystals will be present at the bottom. Please take care when pouring out that last drop, or drinking it for that matter!
